"Curiosity drives us to learn."

Countless hours of making the shoot perfect, all those sleepless nights and crashing in your own workplace, why? Because you want to make it work. You want to tell people, "Hey, I'm here!".

Finally back to blogging but I think it's just for this post since I'm still buried under my piles of assignment!! So this is just a little update of what I've been doing.

The photography trip finally happened! No, it's not exactly a trip where we go and take photos with our DSLR, more like a trip where we learn about what photography is about, and also how the professional working environment will be like. It was truly an awe inspiring experience and definitely would go for more of these trips if allowed. Thanks to one of our course lecturers, we were given the chance to visit not only one, but two professional photography studios in Damansara; which is quoted by one of the photography studio owners to be the hub of all professional photography studios in whole of Malaysia.

(WARNING: heavy posts/photo loads ahead!)

For this trip, I mostly captured all the moments on Snapchat since it was the most convenient one so all of the photos posted below would be from my Snapchat: jayceethenerd.

Had to wake up very early for this trip cause we were supposed to leave our college premise by 6 in the morning. Hitched a ride with some of my friends who actually passes by my apartment when heading to college, so yeah. Just to let you know, I actually didn't sleep the whole day cause I know I can't actually wake up on time, haha. But eventually gave up at 4 in the morning and slept for around an hour, then I really had to wake up to pack all my stuff, and catch my ride. Thanks again for the ride to college, guys!

View from Penang bridge, empty and quiet so early in the morning.

Passing by the petrol station at the break of dawn.

On the highway already, tried to listen to some Spotify to make myself sleepy, but I eventually stayed awake for the whole journey to KL.

Greetings to people on my Snapchat whom are usually awake at this hour.

The cement factory has always been a sight for me whenever I travel up north from Ipoh.

Remember the tunnel on the highway? Yup, this is it.

Just passed by the Ipoh toll, truly have been a few months since I last went back to Ipoh.

Massive limestone mining happening in Ipoh, which disgusts me so much. Please help preserve my hometown!

After stopping at the Simpang Pulai rest stop, the journey continues.

Touchdown in Selangor!
Suddenly remembered staying here when I was attending the first Animax Carnival with my friends!
Navigating our way through the studio in Damansara.

Rode at the most back seat throughout the trip cause we cool kids. Jokes.

Visited the two studios (no photos allowed earlier) and back to the firs studio location for lunch next door.
This amazeballs cafe is called AmazeK.
More like brunch! Haha, I barely got to have any breakfast!

The studio owner (lecturer's friend) insisted on treating us since we came such a long way from Penang, psst he's a Penang-lang!

Egg Benedict with hash browns and salad on the side.

Went back to first studio to learn more about photography!

Yup, only 2 in Malaysia and 1 of it is just right in front of me! RM 140,000 alone for this baby.

Yup, that's how big the sensor is!

Yes, you can get a luxurious house from all the equipment you see in this picture!

Was posing for phone camera, but the owner sneakily captured this with his expensive equipment and also also all the professional set-up.

One of his bike and also all his equipment in the background, talk about aesthetic!

Studio fully equipped with lounge area, functional kitchen where they have a full time food stylists!
The owner of the studio! So generous, kind, and funny!

IKEA visit is a must when you drop by at Damansara (psst, we got lost)

Got myself some candles and candle holders, to brighten up my work-space.

The bed was too comfy to be ignored. Lounged here for around 10 minutes before we were willing to leave.
Left around 4.30pm~

Obviously reluctant to leave cause I need to explore more!

Dropped by Starbucks at one of the petrol stations in Damansara (?) before we continue our journey.

Goodbye, Selangor. Till next time.

Arrived back at home at 10.30pm.
All in all, it was a memorable and inspiring trip.
A new post up later, telling how I feel about this trip and also what I've learned.
