Hey hey! Recently went and had some drinks at Black Kettle. All I could say is, the ambiance is wonderful! Was too busy sipping away my drinks to take any photos but here's a view from my seat.

Tadaa! Brother's camera making a cameo in my shot.
Just tried their latte and nothing more since we were still full from breakfast and also walking around Occupy Beach Street (blogged about it on previous post). Black Kettle is located at Beach Street, opposite of the Fire Station, at the cross intersection of the road with Chulia Street.

Will definitely go and try their pastries and baked goods, and also their food since I've heard good reviews on them. If only they have faster WiFi, sigh~

Happy Easter! Decided to go to Occupy Beach Street since we had nothing to do and lazing around the house has gotten a bit boring.

Reached the venue around 8 something and the place was still quiet with a bunch of people strolling around. The weather was still okay at that time so none were sweating. There were vendors, promoters, performers, and also adoption  drives!

Let's have the photos do the talking;

Dashing little Schnauzer wearing his glasses!

Giant size board game for those who are bored!

The culprit behind the bubble popping mania! Haha!

Look at how big those bubbles can go!

Snake artist with one of the tamest snakes out of the three he performed with.

Oh no, giant kitty on the loose!

I think what I regretted most from the trip was that I wen't on a Easter Sunday, so there were not as many stalls opened that day. Next time I will go on a non-holiday Sunday instead! And also when the weather is not that hot.

As the title have mentioned, I went to a cat cafe, Purr-fect Cat Cafe located at Lebuh Muntri in Penang which we didn't even plan at all. My brother and I were just walking around and something met my eyes, which was the cat cafe! Never knew it was located there and it wasn't really that eye-catching at all. The place consists of two floors. The first or ground floor is like a souvenir shop where they sell all stuff related to cats from headbands to purses. Once you step in, you'll also see a display of cakes available and a counter where you have to make your order.

They have this thing where if you have 2 person, you'll have to order two items from the menu. Wanted to order the set consisting of a slice of cake with Coke float but a set is only considered one order so we went with a slice of Blueberry Cheesecake and a cold Mocha instead which are both ala carte. Before moving on to the upper floor where the cats roam around, we have to read their house rules which in my opinion made lots of sense, for instance, don't carry the cats, don't disturb them while they're sleeping etc.

When we went up to the upper floor, we have to hand the staff up there the second receipt so that they can prepare our order while we play with the cats in a separated glass room. Most of the cats were sleeping when we walked in so we can only gently pet them. Some were roaming around and jumping around from furniture to furniture. So we only managed to play with some of them. Since cats usually sleep up to 16 to 20 hours, I guess the patrons rarely get to play with the cats. I guess this is the only downside to a cat cafe. Still, even when they're sleeping, they are adorable as heck!

Got around to eating the Blueberry Cheesecake and Iced Mocha after playing with the cats for around 15 minutes. Food and drink was average, nothing special about it. After devouring our food, we went back in to play with them for nearly 30 minutes.

Let me emphasize on the sleepiness of the cats (excuse my socks in the corner)

Was walking around Penang Heritage Zone with my brother the other day and I was craving for food after the visit to the cat cafe. We decided to go to Wheeler's Coffee which was located along Love Lane among other cafes.

Walked in and grabbed a seat near the entrance, next to the counter. Looked thru the menu and luckily there was a section for lunch sets. You order a certain dish, and you'll get Iced Lemon Tea + Vanilla Ice Cream on the side.

Ordered Bolognese Chicken set but unfortunately the Vanilla Ice Cream was finished and they didn't bother compensating it with something else? So I just went with the flow and stuck with my order.

Despite the missing ice cream, this place has a very nice ambient, equipped with air conditioning, comes with free WiFi, and plays nice Spotify playlists songs. This place is perfect for people looking to have a nice quiet lunch and also for backpackers cause you can get your does of caffeine on the go in a jiffy. If you'r not looking to have a full meal here, you can go with a slice of cake of your choice as well.

-the docu-movie poster-
Started watching this movie since it went up online and all I could say from the moment I watch this movie is that, it is amazing! The movie gives out a calm relaxing feel to it but yet, you don't wanna divert your eyes away from it.
